Chunling Appears in Bowling Green Daily Newspaper Chunling Niu of Cohort V was photographed by the Bowling Green Daily News trick or treating on Halloween day with her son, Han Niu. Welcome New Doctoral Faculty Kristin Bailey Wilson, Ph.D Dr. Wilson received her doctorate in Higher and Continuing Education from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She has spent 15 years in community college administration including as a professor of English, a division chair, a faculty senate chair, a dean, and a chief academic officer. She has worked on accreditation at a college in the north central region and in the southern region. Dr. Wilson’s research areas are community colleges, including finance and leadership, and underrepresented populations, including military students and low-income students. This month the Journal of College Student Development will publish an article by Dr. Wilson and colleagues about the college-going experiences of active duty military members. She has also had articles in the Journal of College and University Law ; Community College Journal of Research & Practice , Qualitative Inquiry ; Journal of Sociology and Social Welfare; and the Journal about Women in Higher Education . She co-edits the Kentucky Journal of Higher Education Policy and Practice . Dr. Wilson is married and has two children, ages 10 and 14. She spends most of her free time cooking, cleaning and chauffeuring, but she also enjoys reading, hiking, and gardening. (source: Ryan Gets Promoted Ryan Hall of Cohort IV has been promoted to Vice President of Institutional Advancement for English as a Seconds Language International (ESLI). Ryan will oversee ESLI operations as well as develop international opportunities with institutions nationally and internationally. Many congratulations to Ryan! Annette Appointed to President Obama’s Adv. Manufacturing Partnership Committee Annette Parker of Cohort III, a WKU doctoral graduate, was appointed to National Advanced Manufacturing Partnership Steering Committee.
